Alter-Ego Birthday Photo-Shoot! January 9th, 2010

Hey all,

I do hope that the new year is treating you well thus far.  That said, I just wanted to share a few photo's with you.  These are from a shoot I did a few weeks back to kick-off the New Year and I must admit it was tons of fun!

So the concept was called "Alter-Ego" and it was a birthday theme.  Picture this... you are invited to a party and you're labeled with an alter-ego (could be anyone). The kicker is that you must show up dressed as that alter-ego and play the part when you arrive.  I had a great time photographing this event; as it was a pleasure to see that some of the ego's hesitated at first then all of a sudden they were playing the part down to the tee.  Competition for camera time did come about in egotistical style.

All the ego's were photographed in front of a green screen... then challenging part proved to be the post processing as always. All of the ideas for post processing are original compliments none other than your very own..."Me".   I kept it simple and at the same time very tasteful.

I hope you enjoy them and as always your comments are more than welcome.

There are more projects to come and as always I'll keep you posted.

Green Paper Entertainment- Model Photo- Shoot Dec. 16th, 2009

What up? What up peoples?

Just want to share a photo-shoot that I did with "Green Paper Entertainment" last week.  This was a pretty classy as well as hot and steamy session.  I must say we got off to a slow start (the setup) but once the cameras started snapping this was by far many moments to remember!  The girls were indeed looking great! On set was the owner of Green Paper Entertainment... Naheem E.  I give him tons of props for putting this shoot together in such a short period of time.  He was outstanding with the video productions & all the intricate details throughout the day.  Also big shout-out to Makeup Artist Denise of "Luchy Chopard Inc." who did a wonderful job on all the models makeup and hair.  Denise you are truly a force to be reckoned with!
It was a pleasure working with you.
To all the models on hand that day a big thank you for your professionalism; as you all were able to take directions well, which made my job a piece of cake.

That said, to all the fans or BNP you may checkout some of the pictures that were taken that day in the Fashion\Editorial section of my portfolio.  I have posted pics of 3 models thus far on the site and will be posting the rest throughout the remainder of the week.  Please have a look and send me you feedback.

Awesome Photo-shoot Saturday with Hip Hop Artist "MIC HANDLER"

Brrrrr... Despite the cold weather on Saturday (which I love by the way) we had a wonderful photo-shoot.
I tell you Dumbo Brooklyn never cease to amaze me; everything from the rustic look of the brick laced buildings, trolley tracks that graces the cobblestoned streets, small boutiques, and of course the luxurious view of the Brooklyn Bridge over looking the city skyline of Manhattan.  All details given for a great composition on any type of photo-shoot.
By far it was a pleasure photographing the artist know as "Mic Handler".  This was such a fun photo-shoot as he was very photogenic and didn't complain about changing outfits in the freezing cold; such professionalism.  We were able to achieve many looks thanks to the fashion stylists (ANJULA/SHUCHI) from "Material Thangs Styling Group" who were on hand.  They were 100% on point as there also battled the cold all the while remaining focused on their tasks.  Having the lady's there was such a blessing as they were able to match the proper gear for each composed shoot.
Needless to say the photo-shoot was a huge success!  We also had a blast going through the thumbnails, selecting the photo's which will be used for the artists album cover, and fashion promo for company's such as Roca Wear, etc.  I must say, that it was a very hard decision to choose the best pictures; as all were great!
Anyway, as the final touches are applied to the finished product I'll begin posting.
However, above is a sample photo, courtesy of "Brooklyn Native Photography."

Thanks again to the artist know as Mic Handler for selecting me as the lead photographer on this shoot.
Thanks to the fashion stylists, Anjula and Shuchi of "Material Thangs Styling Group" as it was an extreme a pleasure working with you.  Can't wait to do it again!

To the fans of Brooklyn Native Photography... Enjoy & Thank You again for all your support!

Photo Shoot Saturday Dec. 12th, 2009

So this weekend I'll be in Dumbo Brooklyn photographing the critically acclaimed Hip Hop Artist known as "Mic Handler"!  If you don't know... you need to get up to speed NOW!  This dude reps BK to the fullest extent and has been tearing up the underground world of Hip Hop.  Not only is his music Dope, but his is a well respected entrepreneur who has a successful Record Label, Clothing Line, and Graphic Imaging company.

Needless to say Mic Handler has sold many units overseas and is now putting his album together for the US to indulge on.  That said, I've been contracted as the main photographer on this project to help bring this vision to light!  We will be targeting a multiple range looks...  The energy is so electrifying!

Also aiding on the set of the Photo-shoot will be Photographer "Heather Hunter"!

KEEP YOUR EYE OUT FOR THE FINAL PRODUCT!

Early afternoon Test shoot with few upcoming Models

Sup ya'll!  Busy day for me indeed, and just wanted to take a lil time out to let you know what I'm working on.  Well early this afternoon I met with a few aspiring models who wanted a few headshots taken.  Needless to say that went very well as the ladies were pleased with the overall outcome.

Following that, I did another editorial shoot for the website called "Pinkertonsshoppe.com".  The shoot went pretty well as the company opted out of using live models this time.

What did the use you ask?  Well mannequins.  Photographing mannequins isn't bad at all; you just have to make sure that the lighting is proper.  As a matter of fact I was able to experiment with one of my new lighting equipments.  Now that was exciting.

I'll be doing a few minor touchups later on tonight.

Break is over... I'm doing the studio setup and lighting demonstration.  Started a bit late as I was waiting for some peeps to arrive.

Well, enjoy the rest of your evening and thanks again for stopping by!

Kewl Beans!
